Greek Islands Visa on Arrival Guide (2026)

The Greek visa on arrival is a short-term visa required for Turkish citizens planning to travel to the Aegean Islands. With this visa, you can easily travel to Kos, Rhodes, Kastellorizo (Meis), Lesvos (Midilli), Samos, Chios (Sakız), Kalymnos, and Leros. The visa on arrival for Kos and other designated islands is single-entry and permits a maximum stay of 6 nights and 7 days. This visa is valid only for the specific island applied for, and travel between islands is not permitted.

Application Process and Required Documents

Applications for the visa on arrival must be submitted at least 7 business days prior to the travel date. All documents must be delivered completely. Applications from citizens with a TRNC entry stamp in their passports will not be accepted. Travel must only be initiated on morning ferry departures.

• • 5. Travel Health Insurance: International policy prepared in English.

• • 6. Bank Statement: Covering the last 3 months with a minimum balance of 450 EUR.
• • 7. Ferry Ticket: Confirmed, purchased round-trip ticket (reservations are not accepted).
• • 8. Hotel Reservation: Confirmed booking document or an official invitation with address details.

Important Information and Visa Fees

• Applicants who have previously received a Schengen visa refusal are not eligible.
• The 7-day visa can be obtained up to 12 times within a 90-day period.
• Only citizens of the Republic of Turkey are eligible to apply.
• The visa is single-entry and valid for a stay of up to 6 nights and 7 days.
• Ferry tickets and visa service fees are strictly non-refundable.
• Submitting an application does not guarantee visa approval.
